Join National Farmers Union in Louisville this fall as we bring Women’s Conference to Kentucky for the first time ever! This two-day conference will have something for everyone – from topics in farm business management to mental well-being in agriculture to cooperatives, we’ll explore an array of agricultural topics and hear from some inspiring Farmers Union members about their individual journeys in leadership.

Amplifying the Next Generation: Mentorship in Agriculture and Horse Racing
Annise Montplaisir - Executive Director, Amplify Horse Racing
How does the horse racing industry in Kentucky intersect with agriculture, and how can the industries work together to mentor the next generation? In this session, Annise will provide an introduction to the horse racing industry in Kentucky and discuss her journey into her leadership role with Amplify, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to mentoring the next generation.

First Aid Training - Louisville Metro EMS
In this workshop, you'll learn best-practices for responding to emergencies on the farm while EMS is en-route, including tourniquet application, responding to head trauma, hypothermia and heat-related issues, strokes and seizures, diabetic emergencies, and cardiac arrest. Presenters will provide the basics of EMS logistics for awareness on rural response times, understanding best communication practices, and how to prepare for EMS arrival to increase the chance of good outcomes.
How to Make Rural Voices Heard - Organize!
Shelley Seeberg - Organizational Specialist, NEA Center for Organizing
The NEA Center for Organizing measures successful organizing through robust member engagement, effective distributive leadership structures, and growth in membership. Effective organizing should result in increased engagement, expanding leadership, and real wins in policies and practices. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn strategies for effective organizing to ensure that the voices of our communities are uplifted and heard.
Braver Angels Red/Blue Workshop

As red-leaning or blue-leaning citizens, participants will engage in exercises to help clarify disagreements, reduce stereotyped thinking, and discover common values. Braver Angels is a national grassroots, cross-partisan organization bringing Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.

A Woman's Work: Cultivating Power, Purpose, and Possibility Through Cooperation

This dynamic and interactive session will explore the power of women in the cooperative ecosystem - on the land, in the boardroom, and in their communities. Grounded in storytelling, reflection, and cooperative practice, attendees will reflect on their personal and collective values as changemakers in rural and agricultural communities, and engage in guided storytelling and group dialogue that center women's labor, leadership, and legacies. Participants will learn simple, actionable tools to expand cooperative impact in their hometowns, and leave with a Community Impact Toolkit aligned with the 7 Cooperative Principles, designed to inspire action beyond the conference.
